Retired Members

Retired members receive some concessions in relation to the cost of attending technical meetings. The committee would like to clarify who are retired members and hence ensure that the concessions are applied fairly. There are several definitions of ‘retired’ in use particularly in relation to superannuation. In this case the committee defines ‘retired’ as no longer earning income from the industry.

All retired members are invited to register with the Australasian Section as a retired member and hence receive the concessions for technical meetings. This information will not affect any details that you have in the UK membership database.

Those wishing to register as a retired member should send their details (full name and membership number) to the secretary at . Once registered, retired members will be required to advise if their circumstances change and they take up any paid work in the industry.
