The next national IRSE Technical Meeting will be held in Brisbane, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Younger Members have a Career Progression Workshop on the afternoon of Thursday 13 July, followed by informal networking drinks.

The technical papers sessions are on Friday 14 July , followed by the Conference Dinner on Friday evening.

On Saturday 15 July there is a program of site visits, including the Rail Management Centre at Mayne and various other locations.

Technical  Site Visit


PPE Requirements (mandatory): Safety boots, Long Pants/Trouser, Long-sleeved Shirt/Blouse, Safety vest and hat (for sun protection - hard hat not necessary) to be worn when entering Queensland Rail property (excludes the RMC).

Note: Attendees of the Technical Visit will need to bring their own PPE.


8:00     Meet at Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC)


8:15     Depart for Site Inspection of Rail Management Centre (RMC) Mayne


8:35     Arrive at Bowen Hills, walk to RMC, Sign-in and safety induction


9:00     RMC Tour


10:10    Board bus and Depart Bowen Hills for Petrie


11:05    Morning Tea


11:20    Tour of Petrie station, Redcliffe Peninsula Line Junction & relay room


12:05    Board bus and depart Petrie for lunch at Moreton Bay Boat Club


14:30    Board bus for Rothwell Sub Station


15:00    Tour of Rothwell Sub Station


15:40    Board bus and depart Rothwell


16:30    Bus arrives at Brisbane Airport
