Presenter: Jerry Carter

Jerry's distinguished career in railway signaling began in 1976 at London Transport as a Trainee Technician, progressing to significant roles in signal design at Acton. In the 1990s, he led the Watford-Croxley re-signalling project, while also participating in immunisation works for the Heathrow Express and supporting design acceptance for the Jubilee Line Extension project. After joining Tube Lines in 2003, Jerry took on increasingly senior positions, overseeing crucial implementations like the Seltrac S40 system on the Jubilee and Northern Lines. He managed maintenance planning for the 2012 London Olympics and later became Principal Engineering Leader in 2018, managing specialized teams working on projects such as the Northern Line extension to Battersea. Throughout his career, Jerry maintained a strong commitment to education and knowledge sharing, serving as lead sponsor for Signalling Design apprentices and contributing to industry publications.
