The power system for the Adelaide Resignalling Project has been designed for high availability ensuring that the train system remains operational. To achieve this the system utilises slight break inverters feeding an independent distribution system. Inverters were selected in preference to diesel generators to reduce maintenance requirements and to provide an effectively break free supply.
