197903 – Paramsothi – Entrance – Exit Panel Interface and Possible Application of Microprocessor Technology
The Metropolitan Rail network consists of twenty-seven inter- locking~. It is a small rail network and, therefore, presents an ideal case for remote control from one central location. The central control panel will be located within the Adelaide Station interlocking area. Adelaide station area interlocking would be the most complex and extensive of all the twenty-seven interlockings in the metropolitan area. The type of control panel, therefore, that would be adopted at the control centre would be determined by the type of control panel suitable for the control of the Adelaide Interlocking Area.
The Adelaide Station Area Interlocking is more complex for an individual key type of interlocking and control panel. This interlocking, therefore, would be of the entrance-exit route setting type.
