Chairperson’s Award
The IRSE Australasian Section encourages high achievement in railway signalling, systems and associated disciplines. In recognition of outstanding achievement, service to the IRSE and/or the railway industry, the Chairperson may present the above mentioned award.
The award is announced at the Annual General Meeting.
The prize for the award is a certificate.
A person is eligible for the award if they are currently a financial member (at any grade) of the Australian Section.
General guidance for selecting the winner is:
- Outstanding achievement in an area of the discipline
- Outstanding service to the IRSE and/or the IRSE Australasian Section
- Contribution to the advancement of the discipline
- Reputation in the industry.
The assessment is undertaken by the Chairperson.
The award is at the sole discretion of the Chairperson. If there is no suitable candidate, then no award is given. The decision of the Chairperson is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
