The Teknis CTC system employed in the Rockhampton-Gladstone area is divided into two almost identical systems, the main difference being the frequency of transmission. Both systems employ a cyclic address facility to interrogate all outstations from the central site and also have a Priority Interrupt circuit so that when a control is initiated from the central site it is transmitted immediately to the particular outstation instead of waiting for the cyclic address
system to step around the outstation.

The larger of the two systems is the Rockhampton to Callemondah CTC, where 14 outstations are used, but due to the number of indications required from each site, in some cases two addresses are required. This results in a total of 19 addresses.
