198403 – Hamersley Iron – Railway Signals & Communications Department: Information Systems

The Signals and Communications Department Information System has been set up as a Data Base system run on an HP 3000 computer. The computer is installed in the 7 mile administration building and is interfaced to our depots at Dampier and Tom Price with HP2624A terminals. At the present time 22 megabytes of programs and information are being stored.
