199004 – Hessel & Nordenfors – Renewing The Stockholm Train Control Center

Last year EB Signal was awarded a contract from the Swedish State Railways for a new Train Control Center at Stockholm central station concerning 100 substations and a 300 km rail network. The project, nicknamed ” KLARA ” contains material, development and applications work at a contract value of 90 MSEK. The project will be completed in a 3-year period. The running system, a first generation based on computer technics, has been in use for about 20 years and during these years many extensions and resignalling periods have occurred.
