The papers presented on the Australian National Centralised Traffic Control System, at this conference, are divided into three sections:-
– The first paper by Australian National outlines the Project Overview and describes the Operational Requirements for the Control Centre.
– The second paper by Motorola Communications describes the Radio Communications system and the “MOSCAD Field and Office Telemetry Equipment.
– The third paper by MITS Limited details the Central Computer System, the Operator Interfaces for the CTC Systems and the monitoring facilities provided for both the operators and the maintenance technicians.
The papers should be read as a set and, specific details on the field and office telemetry equipment will not be repeated in this paper, but rather the interfaces to the equipment will be discussed.
