This paper describes the development, installation and commissioning of the Advanced Train Running Information Control System used within the Rail Infrastructure Corporation, NSW. The paper details the background, control systems requirements, development and installations to date. Information on the system design including hardware and software are covered as is interface to other systems including timetabling, station passenger information, electrical control, overhead power control and train radio.
