In Summary, this is a huge step forward for public transport in Victoria :
• More than 24,000 more services every week within 5 years• More than 2 million Victorians get a decent service for the first time• And more and more services will be accessible, even if you are temporarily or permanently disabled• For the first time there will be a network of routes. Within 5 years there will be a crosstown network of 330 kilometres of SmartBus routes to complement the existing 600 kilometres of radial rail network• Capacity to carry more and more train passengers• From a Tramway to a Light Rail system• Programs to fix interchanges and add Park and Ride capacity• Essential safety and communications systems replaced• Will carry extra 50 million public transport passengers by 2010
